re.vita goes green!

Over the past few months, we have given a great deal of thought to one question:

What should a hotel stand for in these changing times?

Should we stand solely for rigid criteria such as a particular room size, a shoe-shining machine, a toothbrush tumbler and slippers in every room?

Or should we stand for a firm commitment to environmental and business sustainability?

At re.vita, we have chosen both because we are aware of our responsibility as a tourism business in a region affected by climate change, while also wanting our guests to experience the feel of a 5-star hotel.

At the same time, we have a responsibility to the environment, our guests, our employees and the people of the region. We firmly believe we can live up to this responsibility while continuing to offer our guests the comfort they are accustomed to.

It starts with rethinking things together with you. Do we need to print every room reservation and registration form, or can we digitise the process?

Do work schedules need to be printed and handed out, or could we use an app?

Could our suppliers deliver to us in a climate-neutral way, using less packaging?

Do towels always need changing and rooms cleaning every day, or would I, as a guest, rather enjoy a bottle of locally sourced mineral water?

There are many questions like these, and we thank you for helping us ask and answer them consistently!

That is why we are seeking GreenSign certification and plan to move away from the traditional hotel star rating.

To achieve this, we must meet a set of more than 100 criteria divided into eight key areas. Alongside environmental sustainability, these also cover social, cultural and economic aspects.

As the entire re.vita - naturresort & spa team, we are committed to this, and as part of the Heimat-Liebe-Hotel group, we are pursuing our consistent path towards climate neutrality.
